Prevalence of Some Infections in Liver and Lung of Slaughtered Ruminants in Koya Abattoir, Erbil, Iraq

This study was conducted at the slaughterhouses of Koya / Erbil governorate from (January to December 2013) on 15919 slaughtered ruminants investigate hydatid cysts, necrosis, fascioliasis, pneumonia, and its frequency. The results showed height significant differences (P<0.01) between different months infections in both sheep cattle liver, while were insignificant goats, whereas regarding lung sheep, goats cattle. highest percentage liver cyst recorded especially February (6.54%) followed by March (2.17%) goat September (0.22%). necrosis October (3.43%) June (1.46%) July (0.26%). fascioliasis record (2.30%) (0.98%) but had no infection throughout year. November (17.54 10.17%) respectively, These records continue for as then (19.71 10.22%) (2.38%).
